      Hi,

      (After I successfully connected a button) I have issues with Find My Phone feature.

      When Flic app is in the foreground, Find My Phone works: there's a vibration, "Here I am!" message on the screen, full brightness, flashlight.

      However, when Flic app isn't in the foreground (but "Flic Service is running" notification persists), pressing a button only triggers a default sound and nothing else.

      My phone has Android 14. Flic App reports its version as 3.12.0.

      It's a pity that the feature does not work because I purchased the button specifically for this: to find my phone.

      Is there a way to have Find My Phone working as intended?

      Thanks

        @Emil The permissions I enabled were "Show on Lock screen" and "Display pop-up windows while running in the background". These are shown on a picture here https://stackoverflow.com/questions/71449643/how-can-i-get-the-display-pop-up-windows-while-running-in-the-background-and

        You were correct, there's an additional permission to start on boot. It worked similar how described here https://nine-faq.9folders.com/articles/8772-how-to-manage-autostart-service-on-the-xiaomi-devices

          @bukhalina The flic app asks for all the permissions that are required when the action is saved, as well is registered to start automatically upon boot. It might be that Xiaomi had added extra restrictions so that you must manually go into some menu to allow the app to run on boot or something. Exactly which permission did you enable to make it work in the background?

            @Emil

            I have Xiaomi Redmi Note 14. I figured that the app was missing some permissions to do things when the screen is locked (don't remember what exactly). Once I manually gave the permissions, Find My Phone started working both when the app is in the background and when the phone is locked.

            I think it's an issue that the app does not request the permissions by itself.

            Another subsequent issue is that the app does not autostart on reboot. Find My Phone becomes useless when/once the phone reboots. Probably the app does not request the corresponding permission on Android 14?

                @bukhalina What Android phone model do you have? Works perfectly fine for me on my Pixel 7 running Android 14.
