Hi - just got a flic and I am wondering whether basic navigation actions are possible. I was hoping to use a button to turn Music Sheets in the mobilesheets app. You can get bluetooth pedals for this, use swipes or mouse clicks (or arrow keys), so is there a way to map the flic press to a page turn action?

        Hi Anton,

I was also looking for the use of Mobilesheets with flic and found this thread.

For me it is a likewise situation, I use MobileSheets on Windows/Surface Pro
        How is integration possible?

        Regards, Mick

Any news about the possibility of sending keystrokes? To control MobileSheets? Would be much better compared to a foot pedal.

@frank.graeff Sorry for the late reply, but we actually we did try to implement functionality that enabled Flic to send generic keyboard events to the Android system using the HID profile. This is what you would need in order to turn pages on ex mobilesheets or Kindle. We did unfortunately notice that Android had a lot of bugs/issues that caused bluetooth to become very unreliable and unstable when using the HID profile. Actually the bugs were so severe that it would in some cases cause the phone to randomly crash and reboot. On some occasions it would even drop bonding keys randomly.. Due to this we had to make the decision to not release it. So for you I guess it is not good news. On a slightly more positive note we did find that this is working perfectly fine on iOS so that will be added and released later on.

@anton Any update on this, i.e. triggering a keystroke from the flic?

                Thanks

@anton Thanks for the reply, Anton. Here is a link to the app (free version should work to try this out). PageUp, PageDown, or arrow keys are the HID events I'd be looking for, E.G. 1 press arrow down 2=arrow up, hold PgDn.

                    Any help appreciated!

Had another look through what I can find on the app, and basically all I need is any "keystroke" event. Surely there is a way to do this via Flic?

If it is listening to a regular Bluetooth HID keystroke event then it should be doable. We tried this previously and it is possible to send keystroke events, but we did not find too many use cases for it. Send me a link to the app that you are referring to and I can perhaps give it a try.
