      Hello,

I have just received my flic twists and hub LR.

The hub is connected to a 1A power brick and the led is bright red.

It doesn't "dim" after 15 seconds though, as the manual suggests.

The app can't find the hub. Bluetooth and wifi are on and the app has all permissions. I tried it with 2 different phones.

I also tried a factory reset using the little reset button. This made the light flash rapidly for a while and then it went back to steady bright read.

Is there anything else I can do?

      Or is the hub broken?

      Kind regards,

      Laurens

@Lxxrxns From the error code from the LEDs I interpret that the flash must be corrupt or something 😕 .
Can you file a support ticket at https://flic.io/support with your contact details, order number etc. so that we can send a replacement hub? Please include the link to this forum post for reference.

Hub is still not showing up in the app and it's still bright red (assuming it should go to a more dimmed light?).

The manual says: "After approximately 15 seconds the LED will dim and become discoverable."

Thanks anyways for the live support! Hope we can find a solution...

@Lxxrxns I think something is strange with your hub but trying to get some info about what the error could be. Can you make a video recording when you press it 3 seconds so I see exactly how it blinks (the pattern)?

@Emil It flashed slowly for about 10 secs! Now it's back to steady red. Still can't find it in the app.

Is it supposed to dim the red light once it is "discoverable" like the manual states?

When I unplug it and plug it back in, the light turns bright red, then orange for a sec or so, and then back to steady bright red.

@Emil Hooked it up to the router directly. Pressed the button for 5 sec but nothing happened. Waited for about 5 min, still no connection.

Then did a 20 sec push, light started flashing again, then back to steady red, still no connection.

Then tried a 5 sec press again, still nothing.

Ethernet cable is 100% working (Philips Hue hub is normally on it).

@laurens.swart can you connect it to ethernet, then press the pin hole button for 2-5 seconds (not less, not more), then release. This will initiate a firmware update. Also, can you let me know the serial number of the hub?
