      For Flic Twist:

Right one tick => Defined internet request
Left one tick => Defined internet request

If you turn more than one tick, several requests.

This would be invaluable for integration with generic systems / scripts.

My use would be continuous dimming with a custom system, there are many other possibilities.

A next step would naturally be MQTT commands.

Thank you for exiting products, I have many buttons that work very well, I look forwards to future developments.

@flic-17 Interesting. May I know your use case or what you are controlling with your rotary encoder?

Personally, I would be happy to simply know that left or right movements have happened, and could count and limit the speed of repeats. This is how my ZigBee rotary encoder works with Zigbee2MQTT and Homeseer.

@rob-loosx Yes, we are planning to add turn left/turn right functionality to the Hub SDK for Flic Twist. Unfortunately, the "ticks" are just mechanical and do not really relate to specific values, so you won't be able to determine exactly when the twist passes a specific "tick".

              Agreed.
While waiting for full SDK implementation for the Flic Twist, it would be very useful to be able to send internet requests when turning left / right.

This could be useful for e.g. volume control of non supported speakers / amplifiers.

It would be even more useful if the number of ticks would be a parameter for the internet request (e.g. 1 tick rightward turn: volume +1; 5 ticks rightward turn: volume +5).

Push & twist could then be another internet request, such as next / previous item in playlist, ...

The alternative suggested above: one tick for internet request one, two ticks for internet request two, ... would also be interesting (and would also support the use case for volume that I set out above).

Thanks in advance for considering this!
