Poor recording quality

Hi,

I'm a teacher and I use the "Record Audio" function on my Flic to record notes throughout the day. It's very useful being able to press a button and talk, and not have to worry about unlocking my phone. However, the recording quality is very poor, bordering on unusable. Is it possible to be able to change the audio recording settings, or have "low, medium, high, ultra" options? When I use other apps such as Hi-Q or the default recorder the quality is much better, but I need to unlock my phone for those, which can be a bit cumbersome for a quick voice note.

If it makes any difference, I am using a Pixel 8.
