Actions with Spotify not performing

I set up an action with Flic on Android;
Play Spotify song X
Play Spotify song Y (after 52 min)
Play Spotify song X (after 69 min)
Play Spotify song Y (after 121 min)
Play Spotify song X (after 190 min)
Play Spotify song Y (after 207 min)
Play Spotify song X (after 259 min)
Play Spotify song Y (after 276 min)The problem I have is that if I want to use Spotify in between the actions; but the actions wont trigger when I am running another song on Spotify (or at least I think that is the problem).
Just tried to see if it worked with Spotify not playing. Spotify app still open, but just having song X playing out and then waiting for song Y to start playing - still not working.
Is it not possible to add the same app several times for the same action or event?
I have an Nexus 6P with Android 6.0.1 and Flic app version 1.6.2
